A group of American journalists along with a nature show host, travel to Burundi in Africa, to track down and capture a legendary killer croc, whom the local villagers fear. “Gustave” as his known, is an over-sized crocodile who has claimed the lives of hundreds of the towns people.
“Primeval” is a horror film directed by Michael Katleman, and stars Dominic Purcell, Orlando Jones, and Brooke Langton. The film is roughly based on actual events surrounding the Burundi river killer, Gustave, a 20ft man eating crocodile.
This is a film you will either love or hate. I think its just pure fun. Another one of those over-sized predators on the hunt. How can you hate it? Hollywood definitely cant get enough of this concept, originally brought about by the scare of Steven Spielberg’s “Jaws (1975)”. This one is based on true events though, and that definitely makes it a bit interesting.
Quite the throw off in story though, as it presents the suspense of being hunted by a legendary 20ft man eating predator, and at the same time puts our characters on the run from Hulu Rebels to spice things up. Now I don’t know if this was actually about the Gustave or another “double themed” feature.
I wasn’t bored with this, and maybe that’s a good thing.
