Fabious (James Franco) has always been the town’s favorite with his successful conquests in victorious battles and the king’s favorite making him heir to the throne. His brother, Thadeous (Danny McBride) is a joke to everyone including his father because of his spoiled rotten demeanor. With another successful victory, Fabious returns home with an audience of applause and a bride-to-be named Belladonna (Zooey Deschanel) on his arm. The celebration ends when the dark wizard, Leezar (Justin Theroux), takes Belladonna to fulfill an ancient prophesy of mating with her to give birth to a dragon and rule the world. Fabious is ready to find his love and defeat Leezar; the king forces Thadeous to help his brother to obtain more responsibility in his life. Will Fabious find Belladonna before it is too late? Will Thadeous become a hero and be taken seriously amongst the kingdom?

Review:

I did not enjoy this film at all. I am a fan of parody or the term “stupid-funny” movies but this was just bad. The acting and script was horrible. Trying to obtain humor in a medieval film with modern day terminology such as a lot of curse words, didn’t work for me. All of the characters were annoying and tired. The scenery looked staged and the action was amateur. I am so happy I waited to rent this film other than watch it in theaters. All in all, I will never watch this film again.
