Sucker Punch” starring Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Jamie Chung and Vanessa Hudgens, and directed by Zack Snyder. “Sucker Punch” is a story about a young girl who is sent to a institution by her stepfather after her mothers death. When she arrives at the institution she immediately try’s to find a way out. At her “stay” she meets four girls like her, Sweet Pea, Rocket, Blondie, and Amber, they decide to help her on her way out but its doesn’t end all happy fairy tale style, they all hit road blocks and heart breaks but this film is jam packed with action, heart ache, and a story of five simple girls trying to find their way out of what they call a “life”. The casting for this film is average Emily Browning did a good job being a distressed main character and brings a heart wrenching performance to the film. The costumes are pretty decent a pornographic with the whole “schoolgirl action scenes” considering the movie is rated PG-13 but that’s a different topic. The story line of this film is a little bit confusing. The story line jumps around a bit and you really have to concentrate on the plot of the story but at the end of the movie it really blows your mind at what just happened. The special effects of this film are visually grabbing, they are set in war time ages but overall they are pretty amazing they keep you on the edge of your seat for the whole entire movie. The music for this film is well picked and it fits the scenes perfectly. This movie pulled in $36,381,716 at the box office, personally it wouldn’t be something i would like to see the second time around but it is great for guys who like girls in school girl uniforms fighting and blowing up things.
