Hitman, a Mr. E Movie Review
(Run time: 94 min. – Directed by: Xavier Gens – Starring: Timothy Olyphant, Olga Kurylenko)
Timothy Olyphant’s Hitman is and kick-ass action flick that’ll have you asking for more. (Like a sequel.) Hitman an on screen adaptation of the popular video game that not only does it justice but surpasses expectations.
Agent 47, played by Timothy Olyphant, is the top assassin of an elite secret organization. After performing a hit in Africa he’s told to kill the Russian president. After completing his job he’s told a woman named Nika, played by Olga Kurylenko, witnessed the hit and now must be killed. But, after confronting her he realizes that she’s never seen him before and it must be a setup. Agent 47 and Nika have to find out what’s really going on before their both killed.
Hitman is the assassin cousin to movies like The Transporter. Timothy Olyphant’s gun play and emotionless Agent 47 character is played out to perfection. Olga Kurylenko is the hot addition that, with her sarcastic Russian accent, makes for a great coupling.
Director Xavier Gens does a great job of storytelling in a way that didn’t drag along with too much back story and simply gets to the entertainment.
Hitman is a definite recommend for any action junkies looking for their next action-packed fix.
