Paranormal Activity was a little known movie that had early viewings at places such as Los Angeles, California and Boston, Massachusettes with people coming out of the theaters trembling. The movie is indeed as scary as it seems. Don’t let the R rating fool you. The movie has fowl language in it a couple of times, but no violent acts are established in it. It is scary from the purely perfect effects used, such as wind movement into the cover of a bed, or a pillow randomly being flung at the camera.
Viewing Oren Peli’s feature film at the Regal Atlantic Station in Atlanta, Georgia, the tagline “Don’t See It Alone” truly affected the audience. The theater shook with yelps and screams, including the comencing of crying from certain people. I sat pressed up against my seat at every twist and turn, and was exasperated at the final moment.
This movie brings beauty into the eyes of horror-hopefuls for Halloween’s nearing tide. The movie is quite interesting, and gives a grand spectical for future movies to show that there is more to terror than blood and gore.
Can you offer any advice on how to break into getting my material published, like, public wise, and do you think this site is credible at doing something like that?
I thought you said you hated this movie and it was one of the worst of the year…
well, franchise, the first time I saw this film I was… not in my right mind, so I thought it was incredibly scary. In that regard, I couldn’t remember what had happened in it. When I went to see it again in a smaller atmosphere, I realized how bad it really was, the scariness of it not even being there. Now on this site and its credibility, You can make a website and put these reviews on it, or you can share with friends, but there isn’t much sight from many people on these unless they are VERY into movies. I recommend, if you want public sight, to either write a good review on a very recent movie, and go to a magazine publisher in Atlanta or a newspaper publisher, because if the article is good enough, you can get it published in their publication. Maybe one day you could send a review and a resume to Entertainment Weekly later down the road if you continuously write for a paper/magazine.
A movie called Paranormal Entity was released shortly after Paranormal Activity. It is almost identical.
These movies are creepy but not terrifying. The terrifying part comes once you go home. I totally psyched myself out. I wasn’t afraid of this movie at all until I was lying in my bed alone at night.
