Role Models

Rated R

Cast: Paul Rudd, Seann William Scott, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Bobb’E J. Thompson

In Role Models, Paul Rudd plays Danny, a salesman who goes from school to school teaching kids the importance not to do drugs, but to drink “Minotaur Energy Drink” instead. Danny works alongside his Minotaur Mascot, Wheeler, who is played by Sean William Scott. After being thrown a surprise 10 year anniversary party at his job, Danny realizes that his life hasn’t gone anywhere, and he begins to wonder where it all went wrong. When Danny’s girlfriend Beth (Elizabeth Banks) breaks up with him, he goes on a downward spiral, which only leads the two co-workers into trouble. They soon have a choice of 30 days in prison or to log in 150 hours at “Sturdy Wings”, which is a organization geared towards helping needy children. The two make the obvious choice and Danny is paired up with Augie (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), an obsessed Mid-Evil Time loving teenager, who traps himself in this world of L.A.I.R.E. to get away from his everyday life, and Wheeler is paired with Ronnie (Bobb’E J. Thompson), the foul mouthed 10 year old, who is obsessed with a certain  part of the female anatomy.  Danny and Wheeler find themselves on thin ice, on many different occasions with the head of Sturdy Wings, Gayle (Jane Lynch), as she tries to catch the two slacking on their so called “Mentoring.”  The “Bigs” and the “Little’s” as their called, go through many hilarious ups and downs throughout the movie, leaving a trail of laughs and a surprised heart felt feeling as well.

With each movie made Paul Rudd is distinguishing himself as one of the best “smart” comedic actors around right now. With his witty sarcasm and one liners, it is safe to say Paul Rudd will be around for a long time. Role Models viewers will also enjoy a great supporting cast, which include Kuzzick (Joe Lo Truglio) the fellow “countryman” to Augie, who provides many laughs with his outrageous old English terminology, and King Argotron (Ken Jeong) who is the overly cocky and overly touchy King of L.A.I.R.E.

Role Models is a raunchy, fun and witty comedy that will be enjoyed by all comedy lovers, and is a must buy for anyone who needs a laugh.
