This is one adrenaline fueled movie.

Wanted stars James McAvoy as Wesley Gibson, a rather nervous and scared office worker, who gets picked on at work and by his girlfriend. Things change big time when Fox, Angelina Jolie, tells him his father was one of the best assassins to have ever lived and just died that day and then takes him on a long chase scene with the man who killed his father. She brings him to the Fraternity which is run by a man named Sloan, Morgan Freeman. They are a large group of assassins who kill people that are a danger to the world. One of them named Cross has betrayed them and now they have to train Wesley because he is the only one who can kill him.

This movie has some incredible special effects that really make this movie what it is. Even though its action packed there are still plenty of hilarious moments throughout. James McAvoy gives a decent performance as Wesley. He isn’t really someone I would see as an action star but he definitely makes it work. Angelina Jolie’s performance is a rather mellow and uninspired one. She doesn’t give a whole lot to her character and really I couldn’t have cared less about her. And Morgan Freeman, who never gives a bad performance, gives another good one here as Sloan. Also he spits out a line I never thought I’d here him say and it makes for one of the funniest lines in the movie.

Overall this is a straight up action movie. It starts off with a bang and never lets up until the very end. The plot is obviously unrealistic but that doesn’t matter here as the outrageousness of the movie is what a makes it a fun ride.
