The Blind Side, a Mr. E Movie Review

Run time: 128 min. Directed by: John Lee Hancock Starring: Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw, Quinton Aaron

Sandra Bullock and newcomer Quinton Aaron star in the real life success turned film, The Blind Side. This heart warming, humanitarian drama has enough football for the fans, enough story for the critics, and enough star power for everyone else.

This is the extraordinary true story of Michael Oher, played by Quinton Aaron, a homeless African-American youngster from a broken home. Until he is taken in by a wealthy white family who helps him discover his true talents. On the other hand, Oher himself helps his adopted family to make some new self-discoveries about their own lives too.

Living in his new environment, the teen faces a different set of challenges than what he was use to. As a football player and student, Oher has to work hard. With the help of his coaches and his new mother figure, played by Sandra Bullock, and step father, played by Tim McGraw, he becomes an All-American offensive left tackle and a true inspiration.

Seeing the actual footage of the real-life people at the end of this movie was awesome. To be able to put into perspective each of the characters was great. Sandra did an amazing job and has even got an Oscar buzz being associated with her portrayal. (Not to mention she actually looks like her real life counterpart.)

Quinton Aaron does a great job aside this film veteran. As Michael Oher he put on a remarkable performance that too should warrant him some critical acclaim and a plethora of new acting jobs.

On a whole The Blind Side is a worthwhile, inspiring, sports star in the making film that is sure to have you cheering like your seated on the 50 yard line.

In real life, Oher even was chosen a First Round draft pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, selected by the Baltimore Ravens.
