Coming into ths film I have to frist say that I haven’t ever been a big fan of the Star Trek series. I never watched the TV shows. Personally I have always preferred Star Wars to the Trek. That being said This movie was very good. The story line is pretty straight forward yet at the same time has some good twists that keep you guessing as to what’s going on. There is great action scenes and even more spectacular effects, all which most of us have come to expect from a big blockbuster movie such as this. The cast was very well picked everyone plays their parts to the tee. Having talked with some latent trekkies after the show they said that it brought back memories of their youth and the cast was spot on. If there is anything bad to say about this film is that it was over rather quickly and seems to be just the beginning of a chain of new movies to come. If so I would definitely go to the rest of them.

All in all I would give this movie a solid 4/5. Good to see with friends
