Compiling this list was easy.  The top 5 entered my head immediately and when I looked at my list, I realized that I had selected actresses whose careers have spanned over 30 years and whose roles have received just reward.  Another thing these ‘greats’ have is timeless beauty.  In my opinion they are in a league of their own!

Meryl Streep’s career has spanned over 40 years and she has given us some of the most memorable movies during her career which, I might add, is far from over.  She is by far the most versatile actress of our time giving us Kramer vs Kramer, Silkwood, Death Becomes Her, The Devil Wears Prada and Mamma Mia to name but a few! Two time Oscar winner who rightfully deserves the No. 1 spot!

Susan Sarandon gave us The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Thelma & Louise, Stepmom, Alfie and Dead Man Walking to name a few.  Sarandon is also an Oscar winner whose acting and beauty have never aged.

Jodie Foster.  Most will remember her in the controversial Taxi Driver in the 70’s.  What sets Foster apart is that she made it through the child-star-to-adult-star transition.  An Oscar winner, Foster has portrayed phenomenal roles in The Accused, The Silence of the Lambs, Nell and Panic Room.

Jessica Lang probably got men’s tongues wagging in King Kong but it was her performance in
Frances that set her apart from the crowd.  We also can’t forget movie greats like Tootsie and Blue Sky.  Lang also has an Oscar to her name.

Faye Dunaway is best remembered for her role in Bonny & Clyde.  Then she gave us The Champ.  This Oscar winner was also superb in Barfly and GIA.
