Bridge to Terabithia, a Mr. E Movie Review

(Run time: 96 min. - Directed by: Gabor Csupo - Starring: Josh Hutcherson, Annasophia Robb)

When a childs imagination is given a chance it can lead to so much more. Like over the Bridge to Terabithia. This Walt Disney film has a truely heartfelt story that will entertain and make you believe.

Based on the book Bridge to Terabithia is the story about a young boy named Jess, Josh Hutcherson, whose dreams don’t measure up for his father. But when Leslie, played by Annasophia Robb, moves in everything changes.

When they go out into the woods to play Leslie shows Jess how to open his mind an truly imagine a whole new world. A world in which they rule over the giants and the ogres and where they can learn to run their lives the way they’ve always wanted.

Unfortunately though after an accident claims a young life no one will ever be the same again and that might just turn out to be a good thing as life now has value.

All of the young actors in this movie did an impressive job and although the story doesn’t flow as smoothly and as chipper as the traditional Disney move, Bridge to Terabithia is still a good film.

Bridge to Terabithia is recommended for the kids in the family over at least 9 or 10. Mainly because of the nature of the events in the story and that they’d just be better understood by those a little older. It’s available on DVD and might make a great addition to your pre-teens DVD collection.
