The Twilight Saga:Eclipse-Review

eclipse.jpg

This film starts off with Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) discussing their plans for marriage and turning Bella into a vampire. Even though, Edward doesn’t want to turn her, it’s the only way she will marry him. Jacob (Taylor Lautner) continues to fight for Bella’s heart, despite her unconditional love for Edward. This results in Edward and Jacob constantly being at each other’s throat over her. Bella’s always stuck in the middle trying to keep the peace between them and proving that she loves them both. She loves Edward more, of course. She’s constantly convincing Jacob that she will always chose Edward, but that doesn’t stop Jacob from always trying. The film takes a turn when people in the next town start missing, to which the Cullens conclude that a vampire army is being formed. They must train to defeat them because the army are after someone they love, Bella. Because of Jacob, the Werewolves and the Cullens join forces for the first time to battle them. The vampires have arrived and the war has begun. Are the Cullens strong enough to defeat the newly stronger vampires? Will Jacob win Bella? Will Edward finally turn Bella?

Review:

I loved this movie, from the romantic scenes with Edward and Bella to the face breaking action during the vampire battle. I was waiting to see the movie before I read Eclipse. But from reading the first two books, I saw more of Edward’s character in Robert Pattinson. For instance, his hopeless romanticism of wanting to marry Bella before consummating (which Bella wants to do before). To his constant instinct to always be there for her for mental, emotional, and physical protection. For the Jacob fans, I enjoyed how he’s always willing to break the Cullen/Black treaty just to be with Bella. Also his unwilling determination to win Bella’s heart over Edward, such as, his more cons than pros speeches of being with Edward instead of him. I also enjoyed watching Jasper Cullen (Jackson Rathbone) evolve from a helpless blood thirsty puppy from Twilight to becoming a victorious leader in Battle. He impressed me with his knowledge of the enemy and his courage. He broke off a vampire’s head with little effort then tore the limps off another. All in all, I really enjoyed the film very much and will pre-order the Blu-Ray. TEAM EDWARD FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
