Friends with Benefits-Review

Jamie (Mila Kunis) and Dylan (Justin Timberlake) are two successful businesspeople who have had problems keeping relationships with other people because of their personality issues. Both gives up on the ideal boyfriend/girlfriend and only want to commit to one act, a physical act. Can a man and woman really be friends but with benefits and no emotional attachments involved? How long can this arrangement last? Will they forget the rules and give love another try?

Review:

Well, after first watching the trailer for this film, Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher’s film No strings attached was just released. I didn’t like that film and wasn’t interested in watching Friends with Benefits with basically the same plot and ending, until now. I have to say that I thought this film was way better that Natalie’s. It was funny and includes the audience in with their odd situations. For instance, the many frustrating and embarrassing things and actions that a man and woman go through before, during and after that moment were comedically played out. Like expected, there were a lot of physical activities going on and a lot of exposed skin, but it was all tasteful and didn’t give me an awkward feeling that I was watching a blockbuster porno. With films like this one, of course the ending is predictable but it didn’t bother me much. I usually hate predictable movies but the comedy kept my mind occupied. All in all, I will see this film again.
